Not all households have the same needs or interests. Hence, Acer proposes up to eight laptops and convertible devices for them. All incorporate the Chrome OS operating system and features such as the Family Link parental control application, to ensure that your children use them safely.
Safe, fast, equipped with the Chrome OS operating system and designed for the whole family. These four features are the common denominator of the latest series of Acer Chromebook laptops: It consists of the Chromebook 311, 314, 315, 514, and 714 devices, as well as the Chromebook R13 convertible.
This diversity aims to cover different needs. Thus, it is possible to choose between a wide selection of screen sizes, functionalities, and technology, being able to access different applications that are helpful on a day-to-day basis.
A laptop for every family
With the traditional design of laptops, the Acer Chromebook 311 model incorporates an 11.6-inch HD screen with touch options and weighs only 1.06 Kg. While the Acer Chromebook 315 comes with a numeric keypad and the Acer Chromebook 314 stands out for offering a screen that can be used in bright conditions thanks to an anti-glare panel ensures high sharpness and readability. Its autonomy reaches 12.5 hours of use.
On the other hand, the Acer Chromebook 514 laptop has a lightweight metal chassis that features great durability and strength. Meanwhile, the Acer Chromebook 714 team includes a full metal chassis, the autonomy of up to 12 hours, narrow screen edges, and optional fingerprint reader.
The Acer Chromebook R13 convertible has a 360º hinge that allows you to use its 11.6-inch HD touch screen in four different ways: tablet, laptop, screen, and store. It also has a thin thickness (13.3 mm) to carry it comfortably anywhere.
This new batch of Chromebook devices is characterized by starting in seconds and incorporating the Chrome OS operating system, designed to share and collaborate, and in which all applications are in the cloud.
Also, they automatically back up data and offer integrated protection (without the need for additional programs) with various levels of security. And because the updates are automatic, the latest and safest versions are always running to protect against malicious software. Also, every time they start, Chromebooks perform an automatic check called ‘boot in verified mode’. Through this mechanism, it is detected if the system has been tampered with or has suffered any damage. If so, the system usually repairs itself automatically without the user having to do anything, and a new and perfect operating system is restored.
Being computers designed for the whole family, parents can install Google’s Family Link parental control application, which helps establish basic digital standards to accompany and guide children in the use of the computer, in addition to controlling the device in a way remote.
Through notifications, parents can approve or block the applications that their children or adolescents want to download in the Google Play Store. Likewise, the Chromebook itself shows the applications most recommended by teachers and allows them to be automatically added to the device.
